27.11.14. Transnational conference of project TERRE

Theme of the conference was possibilities of financing projects in the energy sector through European funds. On the conference attended project partners from 7 countries (Italy, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina) and local participant; employees of public institutions and private companies and all others people interested in this topic. Overall, the conference was attended by over a hundred people. Transnational conference was opened by the Director of IRENA g. Valter Poropat, Mayor of the City of Pula g. Boris Miletic, Deputy County Head of Istria ma'am. Giuseppina Rajko, and g. Carlo Casadei from Province of Rimini, a representative of the lead partners of the project TERRE. The conference started with presentation of documentary about the results of the project TERRE, and presentations about the potential of renewable energy sources in the areas involved in the project TERRE. Nikola Blažeković from the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency spoke about subsidies in the field of renewable energy. After the presentation of funding through the National Fund, the conference focused towards EU funds and programs, as well as discussion about the possibilities of financing through the European Development Bank, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the new programs of the European Territorial Cooperation 2014-2020.
